Graffiti is vandalism, it scars the community, hurts property values and diminishes our quality of life.  To assist property owners in the on-going battle against graffiti, the City, in partnership with Clean City, has launched a new low-cost graffiti insurance   program for residents and business owners that have been a victim of graffiti. For a small monthly fee, Clean City will automatically remove graffiti from private property.

Although the graffiti insurance program is voluntary, the responsibility of private property owners to remove graffiti from their   property is not.  Failure to remove graffiti on private property that is in the public view constitutes a public nuisance which could result in the issuance of an Administrative Citation and the removal of the graffiti by the City at the property owner’s expense if not abated within five (5) calendar days.

Property owners that are not interested in subscribing for graffiti insurance  have other alternatives for removing graffiti including removing the graffiti themselves within the required timeframe or requesting a one-time abatement of the graffiti at City approved rates.
